Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:
Remodel The Kitchen
Even though we have a ways to go before our kitchen is done {I’m thinking late summer/early fall} the light fixture we ordered is on its way and I got a test out an AGA oven {more on that later}.
Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove {$12,777.50 of $22,000 earned so far}
I listed 13 new pieces last night in my Etsy shop and have already sold a few of the pieces. I haven’t figured out my theme for next month’s listings… maybe chickens, or a garden theme? There are so many rugs I want to hook!
Fill the Canning Cupboard
The canning cupboard is in place and now we just need to fill it! Berry season can’t come soon enough.
So far this year I have canned:
Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.
I think I’ll just have to wait until things calm down before I list my beach finds.
Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.
Maybe I should start harvesting dandelion greens or start bartering them for some grapes or oranges. I noticed the local farmstand was selling them for $5.99 a pound and Market Basket has them “on sale” for $1.99 a pound this week in their flyer.
Seriously! Who is buying dandelions?
Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.
This marks 2 weeks that the crafts have stayed out of the craft room.
Now I just need to get the last of my wool bolts and plant starts out of the family room and that room will be nice and tidy too.
Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup {DONE}
It was a good experience, and we’re going to do it again next year {although I would like to find a few more trees to tap so our yield is a bit higher}.
Make a Quilt Top
I made zero progress on my quilt top this past week. But I have until the end of the year to complete this goal so I’m not too worried about it.
Be More Intentional With My Time
The HH and I had a date day {the Farmer’s Market}, I got all my rugs finished in time for my Etsy update, I visited with a neighbor {for nearly 3 hours!} and we spent several days outside working in the back. It was a good week!
1 Craft / Blog Free Day {I’ve had 16 craft/blog free days this year so far.}
Keep My Husband Busy
We finally finished cleaning up all the brush and tree limbs in the back yesterday and I think the HH is pretty happy about that. The wood chipper is LOUD and messy and the black flies were starting to make their appearance {usually they’re around for about 6 weeks} so he was happy to be done with that task.
Now comes the fun part, getting the dinghy in the water.
The HH’s Honey Do List {so far} for 2022
- Take over cooking {I’ll still do the baking and canning}

My House Projects For This Year {so far}
The curtains and rod I ordered for the guest room finally arrived and so the HH hung those up for me so that job is done. Next up for me is painting the trim in the hallway, 1 door and our closet area.
- Finish painting the outside of the house
- Finish painting the inside of the house {working on it}
- Make something to hang above our new console table
- Make it look like people actually live here HA HA HA
- New window treatment for the kitchen window

Listen to 12 Audiobooks
I finished listening to Taste by Stanley Tucci and gave it an 8 out of 10 stars. The back and forth conversations drove me nuts but other than that it was pretty good.
The past few days I’ve been listening to The Boys by Ron and Clint Howard and it’s been pretty hilarious at times.
